Alpha at St. Paul Catholic Church

What is ALPHA?

In Alpha, we meet once per week for 11 weeks. We eat dinner together, watch a short film that looks at Christian faith, and discuss in small groups.

Everyone is welcome and we encourage discussion and debate in a respectful way. There are NO bad questions and we love collaborative thinking.

This is not a bible study or a course… this is doing what Jesus did. Eating together and talking.

We will discuss questions like, Is there a God? Why am I here? What about other religions? What is my purpose?

Who is ALPHA for?
Alpha is for anyone. Alpha is for everyone.

Are you a firm believer who feels unshakable in your spiritual life? Alpha is for you.

Have you wandered for one reason or another, and seeking a path back? Alpha is for you.

Are you skeptical about church, God and faith? Alpha is for you.

Young, old, anxious, friendly, tired, excited. Alpha is for everyone. Some come looking for a good FREE meal, some come looking for friendships, some come looking for God. During Alpha, you will have the chance to find it all.

How much will ALPHA cost?
It is FREE. There is no charge for attending the Alpha or for your meal. If you are comfortable making a donation, we welcome them for future Alphas.

What is discussed?
Who is Jesus?
Why did Jesus die?
How can we have faith?
Why and how do I pray?
Why and how should I read the Bible?
